The store used to be called Karstadt and some of the signage still has that name. However, it is now call Galeria. The place is very large and has lots of different departments spread over 5 floors. The store often has sales throughout the year and you can find most things you want there.

Pretty good store for all household, office stationery, departmental stuff, cosmetics, accessories, perfumes, toys, kitchen stuff, decoration, drapery stuff etc. The variety is huge and the products are available in a range of prices. The staff is helpful and some of them speak decent English as well. They have entries from the ground level and also at the basement from within the Karlsplatz underground station marketplace.

If you are lucky, you can get discounted price. It is not as big as the other Galeria I think, but it is not as busy as the other also.
It seems the waiters are more available also (perhaps because less customer come).
It is close from the main station, so you dont need to reach it via U Bahn or S Bahn.
The only complain is I feel it is quite warm-hot inside the building (not so good air conditioner or not so good ventilation. I am getting thirsty easily whenever I visit, thus minus 1 star from me.

Big department store with lots of options for clothing, household items, food etc. Staff is ok, definitely too few to help all customers.

This Karstadt is huge and has a very good supermarket in the underground next to the main train station. Unfortunately, the interior is quite outdated. They have some very nice brands but not the matching shopping experience.

Big and chic shopping mall Karstadt. We can buy good things here. There is also good restaurant. It's my taste. Good service.
