My room is updated and it is very comfy and sweet. Location is great, it is just above the subway and situated at the old town fringe.
I don't understand the feedback on safety by other reviews. I thought it is all good and I never felt unsafe in any way.
The staff are super friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay.
Bonus - Visit that gelato shop located diagonally from the hotel. It serves great ice cream!

Hotel Geisel was in a good location and met our needs for our two night stay in Munich. The rooms were large by European standards and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Laura and the bellman are true assets to your hotel and should be commended for their warmth and friendliness.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. It was my first time in Germany and we didn’t know the language. Hotel is in a good location. Room was spacious and beds were comfy.

Good location, close to trains and trams, which you could not hear at night. Easy to walk to key sights.

No kettle or tea/coffee facility in room, I didn't think to call reception for one as others said they did.
Most of the photos are of the redecorated rooms, ours was totally fine, but just a little older/tired than the images.

They provided a fan for the warmer weather, if you want Aircon check the room description carefully.

Housekeeping staff do an excellent job!!

I highly recommend this hotel!!! Front desk people are amazing and very friendly. Has an excellent location very close to the train station, restaurants and shopping areas. Rooms are clean and comfortable, my view was tonthe streets but we didn't hear any noises. My daughter gets sick and they helped me to resolved our situation, recommended a place to go and provided me a wheelchair, to help us to transported her to the closest urgent care. When we returned they were very interested if she was doing well. Regarding the restaurant, we were very rush (no opportunity to try it). In general our experience and expectations were great. If I return to Munich this hotel will be the one!!

Front desk staff was excellent! So helpful as we tried to navigate Munich! We were always in a rush in the mornings, therefore didn’t get a chance to use the restaurant. I’m sure it was also wonderful. Very large rooms.

On the plus side, the rooms were clean and quiet.
But overall we were not happy about our experience. Not happy to have to pay upon arrival with the extra charge of the guarantee. Not happy with the appearance of the room which did not resemble to the website photos. Not happy with the breakfast buffet and the service who did not inform us about the breakfast options. Not happy about the breakfast price. Not happy about the location because the surroundings felt dangerous throughout the whole day.
Would not recommend this hotel.
