They were still working on it when i was passing through so sections were covered in tape and scaffold. But the finished bits are ambitious and it should be a nice blend of the old and the urban new when they are done with it I think.
But what they have down there is A LOT of shops, shops, shops and more shops! FOR EVERYTHING! You can do a whole week's shopping without once leaving the underground

I give 0 stars because of the Deutsche Bahn. I get surprised when trains actually run on time. 20 minutes change- you most likely won't make it.

I visit this place everytime I visit Munich as my friends and I normally are staying in hotel accommodation just across the road. We always have our breakfast within the onsite cafe where you can sit down and get table service from very friendly staff.
For a railway station the prices are reasonable and a good selection of local food and drink is available. The spit roasted chicken is exceptional! There are many different small outlets selling snacks along with hot and cold drinks. Some are cheaper than others so worth checking. Only one negative is the public toilets that are situated downstairs cost 1 Euro! Expensive to " spend a penny"?

Central Station is like new york. Easy to use and easy to find places. Lots of market stalls as well.

We came Munchen from Vienna to have some shopping. It was very easy. There are fast trains working between two countries. I remember it took around 1-1.5 hours.

Loved it, has everything you need while on transit, can feel quite crowded but that is what you get since it is a huge station, lively atmosphere, cleanliness is on point, food court has all you would want.

Typical train station in a European city. Several good coffee shop and bakery to check out.
