Pros: good air con (at least during the day; seems to struggle at night), adjustable beds, decent shower with flexible sprayer, foldout table if you want to eat in, plenty of lighting, lots of hangers and hooks for your stuff. There's always a bowl of free apples and sometimes buns in the lobby. The windows open 2 different ways, the blinds are remote controlled, and the backlit flower mural is is nice touch. If you like retrofuturism, high school locker chic, and/or bright yellow, you'll like the aesthetics.
Cons: they tell you they only clean during your stay on request, which would be fine except that I have reasons to be skeptical that they remember to request all the necessary cleaning *between* guests. When I arrived I found a towel crumpled on the floor like dirty laundry and hair on the toilet seat, and when I went to sleep, the pillows smelled fine but the mattress smelled a bit sweaty. The bedding is also super scratchy and way too heavy right now - I wake up drenched every morning, which is the main reason I haven't asked for new linens. The sink design is terrible: there's a constant pool of water in the bottom that makes the room humid 24/7. I'm amazed I haven't seen mold yet. There's no airflow or fan over the bed, either. You can't choose which way the blinds fold, and there's enough light from the offices and streetlights just below the window that in the middle of the night with all the room lights off it looks like the sun is never more than 30 min past setting. It's also quite loud out back because of all the equipment loading and dumping and cleaning and chatter and drunken singing out back. You need both an eye mask and earplugs here.
The garish decor looks like it was meant for a dorm or high-end youth hostel, and then when they opened it to everyone they decided to add LED strips to disguise the cheapness as futurism (the LED strips in the hall are actually rather painful to look at obliquely). Everything is new enough that not much is broken or malfunctioning yet, but you can tell they tried to have too many amenities for their budget, so none of them are of good quality. I think they'll be lucky to last another 10 years before the whole place goes under from the repair costs.
