This is a great place to meet and chat in a decent atmosphere. Owners and employees are friendly. Coffee and tea is fantastic. Quick stuff to go is available.

I was always served very courteously by friendly staff. The ladies who serve there have probably been part of the team for a long time, which then seems very pleasant and familiar.
The range of dishes is also very rich and delicious for a bistro, the curry sauce is homemade, but the delicious baguettes with various dips are also phenomenal, according to the manager, the cocktail sauce is also homemade.
The only drawback is that if you sit outside in summer you can't see much of the runway, but the owner of the bistro can't help it either.
Of course, if you come shortly before closing time, you don't have to be surprised if you can't be served anymore, after all, people want to end their working day sometimes, considering that the shop is open all year round without a day off. Especially since I have to say that the staff in the Lindbergh restaurant across the street is more than unfriendly, and the prices are much higher.
Conclusion: Always think before you rate ;-)

Ich kann die Erfahrungen von QUAX nicht teilen. Ich komme oft nach EDFM und besuche dann fast immer wenn es die Zeit zulässt das Bistro am Flughafen. Ich wurde dabei immer sehr zuvor kommend von ausschließlich freundlichem Personal bedient. Die Damen die dort bedienen gehören wohl auch schon länger zum Team was einem dann sehr angenehm und vertraut erscheint.
Auch das Speisenangebot ist für ein Bistro sehr reichhaltig und sehr lecker, die Currysauce ist hausgemacht, aber auch die leckeren Baguettes mit verschiedenen Dips sind phänomenal, laut Auskunft der Chefin ist auch die Cocktailsoße hausgemacht.
Einziges Manko, wenn man im Sommer draußen sitzt sieht man leider nicht viel von der Landebahn, kann aber der Inhaber des Bistro auch nichts für.
Wenn man natürlich kurz vor Feierabend kommt muss man sich nicht wundern wenn man nicht mehr bedient werden kann, schließlich wollen die Leute ja auch mal ihren Feierabend wenn man bedenkt, das der Laden ja ganzjährig geöffnet ist ohne Ruhetag. Zumal muss ich bemerken, das im gegenüber liegenden Restaurant Lindbergh das Personal mehr als unfreundlich ist, zudem zu viel höheren Preisen.
Fazit: Immer erst mal überlegen bevor man bewertet ;-)

Wollte heute um 16:40 Uhr noch einen schnellen Kaffee trinken. Die Bedienung war allerdings damit beschäftigt die Tische draußen zusammenzubinden. Setzen dürften wir uns nicht mehr weil das Bistro ja um 17 Uhr schließt. Da auf einem Schild stand: "Alles auch zum Mitnehmen." Haben wir umdisponiert und wollten gerne die beiden noch in der Auslage liegenden Focaccia zum mitnehmen bestellen. Leider erneut ohne Erfolg. Die von der lästigen Kundschaft sichtlich angenervte Bedienung meinte dazu nur wir müssten uns die Focaccia dann schon selbst aufbacken... Danach ignorierte sie uns und beschäftigte sich mit ihrer Kasse. Wohlgemerkt 15 Minuten vor der Schließung...
Wir, wie auch andere Kunden die das mitbekommen haben, waren von diesem Verhalten geschockt und kommen sicher erstmal nicht wieder.
Hoffentlich zieht der Chef die richtigen Konsequenzen und sorgt dafür das diese Dame künftig mehr Freizeit hat.
Schade ich bin regelmäßig in EDFM und war eigentlich immer ganz gerne mal im Bistro...
