We chose Hotel Jensen for its location and price, and it was so much more: prompt, professional, friendly staff, and the best breakfast facilities and service we could ask for. Plus an excellent restaurant for lunch and/or dinner. The breakfast matron provided us an outstanding package of food for our early-morning departure.

A casual hotel that’s no too ‘touristy’ in the sense that it’s not very large and is rather gemütlich even though it’s not a small family hotel anymore. The average size is perfect for a place like Lübeck.
Our (family) room was nice and large enough for the three of us. The second bedroom is a good feature. Perhaps the only thing we really didn’t like about our room was that it was rather hot; no aircon.
Separate toilet and a bathroom were functional.
Breakfast was served in the dining area on the ground floor. The choice of bread, yoghurt and cereals was quite adequate, and the friendly staff did everything they could to make it a great experience.

Downsides: if there’s fish on the menu for dinner, expect the hallways of the hotel to smell of fish. Sometimes even lingering in the morning.

Oh, parking arrangement is good with a row of private parking spots in a nearby parking garage on a five minute walk from the hotel.

In the heart of Lubeck on the banks of the River it's a pretty hotel with an elevator. Friendly and welcoming staff. It's a perfect place to stay and see this beautiful town

II was enjoying a long weekend in Lübeck, Travemünder, Timmendorfer Strand and found the Jensen hotel a nice and central place to be: friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, delicious breakfast - all at a reasonable price. If at all room size was a bit small, but functional for a short trip. The hotel is located opposite the Holstentor on the banks of Obertrave - which is really relaxed to just hang out there if the sun allows. I did not really like the next door restaurant especially after my visit to the seaside. You can not really beat a fresh, delicious "Fischbrötchen" grabbed at a booth in Niendorf.

Amazing customer service, I was very pleasantly surprised. Very considerate and friendly. Even my dog received a snack! Nice breakfast. Simple, comfortable rooms. Excellent location and cheap hotel parking nearby.

Hotel is located in central location with a beautiful view to a Gate and river. Was mentioned in a documents( and became a hotel soon after) before Columbus discovered America. How cool :). Rooms are cosy and simple. Service is very welcoming and attentive. No problem with parking or finding place to eat.

Fantastic stay - front desk is VERY accommodating in a very non-German way … parking is a bit rough, but the view makes up for that. The breakfast, as with pretty much any German hotel breakfast, is outstanding. Shower is SUPER slippery - careful!
