Loved the 2 exhibitions! Totally worth it to learn more about the city's history from its creation until nowadays. Needs more the 1 hour to see everything.

A wonderful museum about the city’s history. Every display and piece of information is purposeful, intriguing, and engaging. My 2 hours there was unfortunately cut short by the closing time, so I didn’t get to see the modern history section, but it was very enjoyable nonetheless. If you’re one to read every piece of information in a Museum, then I’d advise you to set aside at least 3 hours for this Museum.

Additionally, the staff were all very friendly.

Excellent museum. We met the director, who is passionate, proactive about adding to the collection, and not afraid to tell real stories (that is, doesn't gloss over any controversial or less glamorous aspects of the city's history. Contains aspects of both the Old Town Hall and more contemporary history.

The museum is full of history, heritage, origin, revolution, currency, trade, clothing, famous person u0026 lots more regarding the ancient u0026 modern city of Leipzig. So it's a must visit spot for all travellers to the historic city of Leipzig, Saxony.

Thought provoking, sad to hear and read about the victims of the border situation. And history repeats itself... Russia /Ukraine today, very sad. Excellent show of documents, artefacts and equipment

Lovely place with an exhibition on the changes done reunification. Very well illustrated and drawn out. The exhibition on the 2nd level is on the evolution of DDR Recommended viewing
