This is a real nice beer house in the middle of Leipzig. You will get great authentic Bavarian food as pork knuckles and Schweinebraten.
The beach house is totally in the center and the center of lipstick looks a little like very nice German town with the that touch of the south.

9.5 eur for 3 small piece of bread and orange butter. They called it Obazda. There is no camambert or any käse. I thought it's chef's compliment. Real bavarian Obazda is something different and much better.

Great food and excellent variety of beer from that Bavarian company.
Schnitzel are big even for 2 persons. If you go for healthy options they have good salads and also turkey schnitzel.
Central location close to Thomaskirche.

An unpretentious and relaxed place off the mainstream tourist circuit and good for a beer (or two) during a walk around the city centre. Also has hearty Bavarian food which is a bit too filling for lunch but excellent for dinner. Polite and attentive staff in lederhosen (what would you expect - it is a Bavarian style restaurant after all!) The wait for food and service is not noticeably long (but we are talking German not British or North American standards here;!)
Not pricey.
Would I patronise again?

I visit Leipzig often. The Paulaner is one of my favorite places to eat in this town. I have found the service to be good, and the food to be very authentic and representative of Bavarian fare. They offer a menu in English for non-German speakers. I recommend the Liver Dumpling Soup and the Crispy Pork Knuckle.
