Excellent value for money. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom/shower area (love the big walk-in shower) and the bedding felt and smelled fresh and light. I slept very well, nice firm mattress with a bit of bounce. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast which was delicious, lots of choice, the view from the ground floor dining room is interesting/enjoyable, you feel right in the middle of things. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the sauna (very roomy) and especially the outdoor terrace for cooling down (really great to lay down and watch the birds flying around in the sky - super relaxing.) The upstairs bar was modern, with nice "chill" music and beautiful night views of Kiel harbor. The hotel is right across the street from the main train station with a lovely long harbor path across from the dining room. Absolutely the best way to start or finish a cruise in style (Aida and Stena line terminals are a short distance by foot.) There are also plenty of public toilet opportunities along the long harbor path (Stena Line terminal is the most comfortable).

A very clean and accommodating hotel with a helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant's breakfast has a decent selection of items to choose from and made to order omelettes are an option. The rooms are comfortable and well sized for even a long stay.
This is definitely one of the better hotels to choose while in Kiel. Oh, and yes, there is sure conditioning in the rooms.
