In Kassel again for Documenta. Always such a lovely city. Ate at Arcadas restaurant last night. Informal and comfortable with courtyard garden seating. Our waiter was charming with a good sense of humour and attentiveness. Her English was excellent. The menu was simple but included most of the normal expectations for Turkish cuisine and the food beautifully prepared. The hummus was especially good; crushed chick peas rather than paste-like – very homemade. Oven baked lamb with rich tomato sauce and roast seasonal vegetables was simply perfect. Portions were very generous and prices reasonable. Highly recommended, especially for groups wishing to share.

Das Arkadas liegt etwas versteckt in einem Innenhof, zudem ihr Zugang über die Sickingenstraße bekommt.

Parkplätze sind entlang den Seitenstraßen in ausreichender Menge vorhanden.

Ich muss gestehen ich war heute (Mai 2022) Ersttäter und kam auf Empfehlung.
Um es vorweg zu nehmen:
-u003e Diese Empfehlung kann ich uneingeschränkt weitergeben und ich komme gerne wieder!!!

Zur Begrüßung gab es einen leckeren Apfeltee.
Die orientalisch/ türkischen Speisen waren sehr lecker und in üppiger Menge dekorativ angerichtet.

Der Service war außergewöhnlich freundlich und der Name des Restaurant ist hier definitiv Programm.
