Passed along this restaurant a few times already and stopped this time at lunch time. There are no special offers for lunch - just the usual menu. Keeping the average rating ( 4.2 ) at the time of my review in mind, I've had higher expectations and was a little bit disappointed ( 1 star reduction ). Unfortunately I had to deduct another star as the service was nice in the beginning but after requesting payment I had to wait for u003e 10 mins and the place wasn't really that busy.

Excellent food for reasonable prices. My favourite Schnitzel place in Karlsruhe.

Food is good and not expensive. The staff is friendly. A great place for family and friends.

Not bad if you judge on what you pay and the quality of the food. But we where slightly deluded by the place after reading all the positive reviews. The menu is kind of limited, the amount of sauce served underneath the schnitzel (and thus in contact with the meat and the fries) was high. Salad was OK but also here an esagerated amount of dressing was added.
This place is good for a beer or a quick meal without paying much.

I have family in Karlsruhe and have travel there many time. My sister took me to this place and I have been hooked ever since. Beer is always ice cold, and food is hot. Inside can get a bit crowed and loud...depending on when you go. But some how it always feels like a party !! It is off the main street and behind a small church.Sitting outside is in an open and airy space.

Basically the best taste u0026 amount per buck in the city.

Large salads than count as a main menu all by themselves, very taste dishes with abundant quantities and just a nice down to earth selection of dishes with just enough variation and surprises to keep things fresh.

The ambient is also very nice, both in the open air behind the ancient church and inside in the tastefully decorated rustic interior.

I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a very good meal for a fair price in a nice ambience.

This is a great pub, which serves beer from the local brewery (Hoepfner) and serves a number of traditional regional dishes (My favourite is the Maultaschen.... kind of large meat filled ravioli, German style). Well worth a visit.
