Friends of ours who come to the restaurant here regularly informed us that this place had been fully renovated and if we were to come this way we should stay here. I am glad we did as the location of this hotel and restaurant are excellent but the rest leaves a lot to be desired.

Positives - great location and great restaurant with very good service. They are directly on the lake so hanging around here is easy. The food was delicious at lunch and dinner and we enjoyed our meals here. Probably the best zwiebelrostbraten I have had in a long time. The only downside was that the menu lacked a bit of variety and vegetarian / vegan options. The breakfast was ok and in four nights we stayed here there was absolutely nothing new on the breakfast buffet, same stuff which was nice and things I would get on a Landgasthof in Bavaria.

Negatives - we stayed in the Seehaus and the worst WiFi experience at any hotel. It kept dropping every 5 mins and often at night none at all.

The shutters were all different and opened differently as well, with one automatically opening at a set time in the morning. The main bedroom had none which was annoying as the light poured in early morning into the room as the curtains were quite thin.

The room itself was lovely and well renovated but lacking the luxuries one would expect in a room at this rate. Small towels, charging for coffee pads (never had this happen to us in 10 years of staying at hotels in Germany), room was not cleaned thoroughly with dust under the sofa and cobwebs in the balcony.

Reception staff here need to be retrained. Did not feel welcomed or when we asked for help, few words were spoken. This was the same when we were leaving and not one question about, how was your stay ? Or any problems? Or did you like our hotel and, as a matter of fact, when checking in nothing like, welcome to our hotel or, anything. Handed the keys pointed from the main door where the apartment was and again no offer of assistance whatsoever. This would have to be the first time we did not feel welcome as guests at a hotel.

We would love to come here again but unless there is some changes we are better off going somewhere else and coming here for meals. For what you pay here I expect more. We have stayed at so many amazing places in Germany with great food and great service / rooms overall and have been priced similar or better than here. It would have been an amazing experience with a few adjustments. It was good but would not repeat it for the price.

Great friendly service. Fantastic modern rooms with spacious modern bathrooms and balconies. Breakfast has wide range choices. Enjoyed tasty food and quick service. Will return for sure????

Great restaurant! Some portion size considerations (my starter was like a meal) can be smaller to not waste food. Super fresh, high quality, nice atmosphere, great service. We didn’t speak a word of German and our server didn’t speak English, but we felt super taken care of, and attentive to every detail.

Really great food, of course in the mid to high price range. If you like traditional meals with a modern touch, you will be in the right place. The location directly at the lake is outstanding. Very nice and friendly people.

Decent food produced with local ingredients. The seating and the service is great. I actually did like their meat more than their fish.
