I bought tickets for my wife, father and myself for a round trip from Heidelberg to Neckarsteinach which is a three hour tour. We were all very impressed with the entire package, the staff were all friendly and attentive, the ship was clean and comfortable. The absolute best option to see the Neckar River valley is by boat. The trip was extremely relaxing, we were fortunate to have beautiful weather. The sundeck was great- big tables a nice breeze and spectacular views. The price point for the service and the relaxation I feel like is an amazing bargain. Snacks, ice creams and drinks that are offered are well priced and were good. This was hands down THE best 75$ I’ve ever spent for three people to have a great relaxing day. We will be going again very soon!

If you are in Heidelberg, besides walking the place to take in the various sights, taking a cruise along Neckar river is a worthwhile thing to do to see things from a slightly different angle. For 10 euros per pax, it is reasonable for a 50 minutes ride.

The boat itself is clean nothing bad to say about that. Besides that the boat left on time aswell. Other than that this boat trip was a disappointment. We took this boat trip on a really hot day and airconditioning was not working inside the boat. We stayed in Heidelberg for 2 days and saw everything already by foot. Staff was okay.

Personally i would not recommend the round trip because there's just not much to it.

Unfortunately some of our team members were a few minutes late so we missed the boat. The boat crew kindly offered to get into another ride the same day, which was much appreciated. But the team was disappointed that no bar was open in boat, thus this mitigated rating.

Waited to eat something for the 3 hour round trip! And all that was available was drinks! No food! The website offers on-line tickets and states that small snacks, etc. are available on the ship! During the return trip THE Captain stands at the wheel eating a plate of French fries with ketchup!?

They offer a 3 hour good round trip in the Neckar river .. The trip is usually wonderful especially if weather is cloudy .. however service some how not optimal (though some staff are great) ....

I have been enjoying theses trips with family on almost yearly bases .. to enjoy the nature around .. but not any more .. and the reason is .. nothing new is provided .. same old services .. small piece of an advise to owners .. you may need to be innovative

Took the Castle Illumination cruise on July 9th. Most of it was just fine. However, service was execrable. I understand and account for staffing shortages, but our table was skipped over more than once and when we asked about it - politely - we were ignored. Went up several times to the bar and they told us to sit down to be served, then did not come to us.

Also would have been helpful if they had told us where we would end up at the end of the cruise to watch the illumination and fireworks, so we didn't have to guess which side of the boat we would need to look out to watch.

So it was enjoyable and went smoothly except for the service. Not sure I would do it again, though.
