Great coffee but only take away (they offer reusable cups if you‘re staying close-by)

Large roastery close to the heart of old town of Heidelberg.
Interior and location is impressive, as is variety of of beans they offer for sale.
Ordered a double espresso of the most fruity espresso, could only taste roast aromas and almond was the most pleasant taste. Paid 3.80€ for a double espresso which is very expensive and I would prefer, taste wise, a commercial coffee for half the price of that drink. Maybe one coffee is too little to give a proper review but judging it as a third wave coffee I am disappointed and would not recommend it to people enjoying at least more bright, complex, tasting coffees.

I would have liked my filter coffee beans to be roasted lighter. I has a very bitter taste and lacks aroma.

A hidden coffee place that is only open as a cafe on saturdays
The coffee is very good but on the expensive side compared to other cafes
There is not much of a seating area and the few seats are outdoors
Very interesting place to visit and buy coffee from its roastery

I live next to that place and it’s the best thing in the morning to wake up because it smells like coffee :) For me the best cappuccino I ever had. They also offer soy milk and hot chocolate. Worth to try when you’re in Heidelberg. My favorite is Zoe Espresso.

I visited this place due to the very good rating (at that time they had 4.9 stars in google maps). I was not disappointed at all. I ordered a cappuccino and it was super. Price-wise it's still on normal range for coffee in Germany. The place is also quite cool although very small.

Florian is an outstanding guy who puts his heart and soul into his coffee. Friendly, always willing to chat and a great ambassador for the coffee community and culture. The coffee crash course is amazing!
