3.8/5 points can be very mean to this place. We enjoyed our stay very much maybe we are not so sensitive to the noice? Yes, it’s just behind the street but you barely hear anything at night.

Yes, the sanitary is old but it’s functioning very well! With instant warm water coming! I mean many other 4 star camping place even have issue with warm water.

The owner is extremely friendly!!! He allowed us to leave after 12:00 the next day and offered me to charge my phone at the reception.

The lawn I have to mention is such unique plus!! It’s real grass and it’s very thick so you can always step on it without shoes. My kid had so much fun driving his bike around the place, it’s quite safe!

In the evening, you can seat near the river to see the sunset and the opposite scenery: mountain, lights, boats. It’s very romantic!

I definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful site and great owners. The facilities are basic but perfect and the bar open till 9.30pm with beer is a great addition. You pick where you want to pitch which is both good and bad, good because you pick the spot you like but bad as if you leave for a day out your spot may be gone. The views are amazing!!

Perfect place to set up and explore Heidelberg. 1 minute walk to bus station and only 10 minute bus ride to town. Smooth side walks the whole way if you want to rollerblade into town as well. Beautiful ride along the river. Great owners who speak English and are very friendly. Hot showers with good pressure. Can't beat the price either. Must stop and camp if near Heidelberg!

A fine camping with a fantastic view because it's directly next to the Neckar river. Bathrooms and toilets were not very modern and not a lot of space, but clean. On the tent area you are allowed to place your tent wherever you want.

We spent three nights at this campground while visiting friends and seeing the lovely town of Heidelberg. The sites are close together, but you can't beat the location: you're right on the river, watching the boats and barges go by. There's a bus-stop to Heidelberg right outside the campground gate and a full-service grocery store across the street. And we could bike to Heidelberg in 15 minutes, right along the river on a bike path.

The facility is older, but the showers were hot and the bathrooms clean. We could order bread for the next morning. And there's cold beer for sale in the cooler in the office.

The only hitch is that it's cash only, no credit cards. So bring cash.

We'd camp here again.

Fabulous campsite with really friendly staff, clean facilities and a very good restaurant, (we were very lucky to arrive on the evening they had a superb jazz band playing). Public transport to Heidelberg was close by, we took the boat one way and the bus back! Lovely stay!

The staff were lovely and the view was beautiful but the campsite itself was terrible. The facilities were very old and dirty, very unpleasant to use. It said nowhere on the website or in the booking email that they would only take cash so most of our stay turned into a stressful hunt for cash. There were no assigned pitches so everyone was very close together.
Overall, a stressful experience which I wouldn’t recommend.
