Such mixed feelings! The food, service and ambience were fantastic. However the bill part was sooooo confusing. So you pay 250€ pp for food, also 130€ pp for wine accompaniment which is all right and fair BUT they charge you for ANYTHING else. Like they offer you champagne as welcome aperitif and naturally you say yes. Then they ask you if you‘d like another glass before they start with your paid wine accompaniment and you say yes. Then you ask them if you can have another glass of wine of what you especially liked and they are happy to serve but they charge you full price per glass. At the end of the day with all extras that they don’t tell you the price of, you end with almost 700€ for food and drinks PLUS 300 for extra glasses of wine and champagne and probably water here and there. I mean it‘s OK to charge it but gosh, please advertise it. Please let people know that you charge them for this, give them a drink list or something in advance for your customers to fully understand what their costs are. Although honestly, for 130€ pp for wine pairing, Herr Kevin Fehling could have given his guests at least some complimentary glass of champagne or an espresso. I‘m sure that what they do there could qualify as hidden costs or misinformation which is probably against the German law. Will have to read on the legislation for customer services in Germany and maybe place a formal complaint. In any case, for any future guests - be aware.
