The hotel has a great location. There is a lot going on in surrounding hip neighborhoods, St. Pauli and Sternschanze. Close to public transportation as well.
Rooms are nicely decorated.
Terrible sound isolation between rooms, you can hear people leading a normal conversation in the room next door, light sleepers beware.
We decided not to eat breakfast there, at 13€ per person, it seamed vastly overpriced for something that basically looks like groceries bought in the nearby store and thrown in together. There are a lot of lovely breakfast options nearby that can give you a much better experience in the same price range.
Rooms get cleaned only every third day or so, and you don't get informed about that when checking in.
Had some difficulties in communication with hotel staff that insisted on taking in German, although it was obvious that we didn't speak the language. But that's the wider problem that we encountered in Hamburg, very irritating trait of some Germans.
Overall a decent hotel, but overpriced for what it offers
