This is the favorite place of the locals. It is a fish place but in the second floor there is Kaminstube which is a german comfort food restaurant. Kaminstube is only open in the warm months as it is open space but the main restaurant opens all year. Go there and experience it. It is very good. Make a reservation as it is always busy!

Very nice place, prices just right for a place like that. Weather it’s a birthday, and family diner or a date. You can’t do anything wrong by going to stocks, just book well ahead. Very pleasant and friendly place

A nice restaurant, almost 30 minutes away from the Hamburg city center, prices are a bit expensive, but the food is really good

What a great surprise!
I don't know what had changed during the past couple of years, but it was definitely for the better!
Last time I had come here (2015?), it was a very stiff atmosphere and not so enjoyable - food was fine, but that was about it.
Fastforward to now, and service personnel really made it work! They were relaxed, flexible and very very welcoming. Food was great and so was the atmosphere!
We got (no reservation) a table in the wintergarden where a couple of bdays were being celebrated, which normally might have made me feel out of place, but like I said, the staff was so great that it felt good just the same.
I've definitely added Stocks back onto my list of places to go. I hope they maintain this new style.
