Overall, hotel was good. Staff very friendly, outstanding food, nice golf courses, and amazing running trails.
However, avoid going during really hot days (not that common in Hamburg), as rooms have no AC and are extremely hot (they gave a small noisy fan, but that didn't help much).

Simply the best hotel and stay we’ve had. We stayed one night in the junior suite, and we could not wish for more, neither did we want to leave. This hotel has everything we could’ve asked for. Delicious food, great service, beautiful views, good prices, big parking lot and it was so clean and tidy everywhere. Everything seemed so good thought through. From equipment found in the room, to architecture. A beautiful designed room. Also, short way to shops and shopping center. We loved our stay and are definently coming back!

A lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Hamburg. The hotel is spotless the facilities excellent. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of dishes for all tastes. Staff were very friendly and helpful I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, would recommend ????

We were invited to a diamond anniversary and the banquets team did an amazing job! The food was absolutely delicious, great wine and the dining room, bar and hotel in general exuded luxury atmosphere.

Nice room, great standard. Was sceptical to the in-house bistro, but the food was great. The pool was nice and the kids really enjoyed it. However, there was no air conditioning and the fridge never got below 10C, even after informing the staff who would have someone look at it, resulting in luke warm water, beer and wine for the duration of the stay. Slow service at the bar due to too few employees. Those that were there were, however, friendly and service minded.

Beautiful countryside golf and spa hotel on the outskirts of Hamburg:

Restaurant closes at 9 PM, we had to order pizza but were banned from enjoying it in the hotel bar/lobby. Sauna is full of nudist fanatics, which I don’t mind unless I am travelling with my mother-in-law who hails from the Middle East. It would have been quite uncomfortable for both of us. Most major hotel chains are more aware of cultural differences. We stayed in a pet-friendly room but the promised dog bed, bowl and treat never arrived despite 2 days notice. Also after missing the connecting flight from Paris to Hamburg the receptionist showed no interest in accommodating any changes to our booking because we booked non-refundable rate via Expedia. When we extend our stay by one night we were charged a significantly higher rate than on Expedia which we only accepted to make sure we don’t have to move rooms. All in all, not the best hotel stay I’ve had. I have Gold status with hotels.com, Expedia, Hilton, Marriott as well as Melia so would consider myself a rather seasoned traveller and have had better travel experiences in similar circumstances.
