We went to Ofilos tavern today and loved it! We were welcomed very nicely and took a seat at the cozy, bright table right by the window. As a starter we ate the filled vine leaves. These were lukewarm and, according to the extremely friendly staff, made them themselves. We have never had such delicious grape leaves with tzatziki anywhere.

As a main course we stayed with the classic gyros and here you can only say that it tasted excellent. A relatively "simple" but very tasty dish. The fries were fresh, the meat well fried, not too dark but still crispy and juicy. Perfect for our taste.

The waiting time for the food as well as the drinks was short and the price was perfectly reasonable.

A clear recommendation from us so that we will be happy to come back.

Wir waren heute in der Taverne Ofilos und waren begeistert! Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und haben am gemütlichen, hellen Tisch direkt am Fenster Platz genommen. Als Vorspeise haben wir die gefüllten Weinbätter gegessen. Diese waren lauwarm und nach Aussage des außerordentlich freundlichen Personals selbst gemacht. Solch leckere Weinblätter mit Tsatsiki haben wir bisher nirgendwo bekommen.

Als Hauptgericht sind wir ganz klassisch beim Gyros geblieben und hier kann man auch nur sagen dass es uns hervorragend geschmeckt hat. Ein verhältnismäßig „einfaches“ aber sehr leckeres Gericht. Die Pommes waren frisch, das Fleisch gut gebraten, nicht zu dunkel aber dennoch kross und saftig. Für unseren Geschmack perfekt.

Die Wartezeit auf das Essen wie auch die Getränke war kurz und der Preis vollkommen angemessen.

Eine klare Empfehlung von uns so dass wir gerne wiederkommen.
