Amazing food, wine, service and overall experience. Modern European food. The Chef didn't over complicate the quality of the produce. Presented as it is with a touch of flavours and aromatics to bring out the best of the main act. And service, where do I begin. Excellent, very personable and fun. Only 2 ladies at the front of house but they know their wines and is very accommodating to dietary requirements. If you are planning to come to Hamburg, I recommend booking in advance and come hungry.

We found this restaurant through TripAdvisor and liked the idea of "Casual fine dining".
The staff were very friendly and down to earth and easy to talk to.
The food was amazing! You pay a bit more than your regular restaurant, but it is well worth the price.
We ordered the flamed trout, but as the salmon was in season, they told us that was on the menu instead. We didn't complain :)
The salmon was melting on the tongue and the garnish complimented the taste perfectly.

The main course was veil, which was soo tender and with a lovely jus packed full of flavour.

For dessert, I got the Rhubarb and my girlfriend got the Pear. We like the pear best :) The rhubarb missed a little bit of crunch, but that was it. The pear was wonderful.

I would recommend anyone to take a swing by Restaurant Heldenplatz.

And thank you for the recommendation of the white wine. It fit lovely with our dinner. Sorry that we didn't leave any left for you...

Overpriced. Nothing to complain about generally but for the price you'd expect slightly more - both in terms of the restaurants ambience as well as in terms of taste.

Loved this place! Food was great, 4 course tasting menu was the perfect amount of food. Very good wine selection. This might seem ridiculous to mention but they offer 4€ a per person for unlimited water which I thought was awesome! Most restaurants gouge you with 7€ bottles of water. Really appreciated this. Great service, definitely will be back.
