The team that maintains those historic vessels is to be applauded. They are all volunteers with a love of the sea faring history of Hamburg. The City MUST continue to provide the support they need. All vessels in the museum have contributed to what Hamburg is today... I tip my hat to the team and highly recommend a visit. Oh a small donation will go a long way!

Nice place to take the kids. The display of old ships and boats and other accessories like anchors, etc. Made it a great discovery and learning session for the kids. The nice beach right beside it was perfect too for the kids to run around. I could only imagine how beautiful this will be in the summer.

Doesn't look like a museum at all. Just some old boats/ships there with descriptions. But it s nice to have a walk along the coast and it s a ferry stop there. Amazing sunset there.

At nigjt a little lame (surprise!), but ofc nice if you catch them using one of the several seaworthy ships and/or boats.

It's beautiful and glad to see the ships propeller and anchor ...nice to see container ship and cruise ship going from there????

nice old ships well preserved and maintained. worthwile seeing for all marine enthusiasts. Good that there are things like that in Europe

One of aunties of my husband have celebrated her 70th birthday here. She has booked the restaurant only for the family and guests. It was around 20 people. I came with my husband and our two toddlers. It was a special invitation to have brunch here. The menu was a buffet. Taste good. The view is nice. Only the rest room not so clean and doesn't have a nursery room.
