The booking experience at Das weiße Haus was good! My experience on the day of our dinner was good and bad!

Bad:
The staff at the day was from a customer experience rude. We arrived 15min later then booked. Our greeting was: finally you are here. We were a group of several people. The staff seemed on edge the entire night and behaved like robots with little or no personalised service.

Good: The food was great and the location is unique

Would we recommend the place to friends? No we wouldn’t because we didn’t feel appreciated. If you look at the other reviews it seems a consistent concern of customers. I don’t feel the efforts have been made to change that!!!

Small quaint restaurant in a beautiful restored house in nice area. However, this is the only positive side of this place. Rude and arrogant attitude of the waiter. Really unprofessional. In addition, he insisted on us paying cash to avoid the credit card fees, and made a big fuzz about it. Would I recommend going there? No, unless it is the only place open in the surroundings.

A true star cuisine. We had a hamburg kulinarisch menu with a different wine served to every dish. We loved every piece of it. The wasabi sorbet, the marinaded tuna, the crepes. The place is small and cosy, gives a family feeling. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth a visit!

Atmosphere pleasant, it is not noisy and you can have a good conversation. However, I found it uncomfortable to sit with my back halfway in the passage. The way the tables were set, crockery and cutlery wasn't really my thing - I've never noticed that negatively anywhere before. But it is certainly a matter of taste and only a side note.

The staff was very friendly and courteous, well trained and asked several times about our well-being.

The menu was chosen quite quickly. Even if everything tasted good except for the horrible lemon ice cream, with the exception of the excellent soup and the vegetable side dishes of the main course, I missed the pep. It was technically well cooked and nicely presented, but at this (price) level I know there is very strong competition in Hamburg. Perhaps the location compensates in summer for sitting outside in good weather. So I would currently visit other restaurants.

Ein Besuch an einem Freitagabend im März 2022. Tisch für 2 wurde vorher reserviert. Als wir ankamen, waren aber trotz 3G-ausgedünnter Tischanzahl noch 3 Tische frei.

Atmosphäre angenehm, es ist nicht laut und man kann sich gut unterhalten. Allerdings empfand ich es unangenehm mit dem Rücken halb im Durchgang zu sitzen. Die Art und Weise, wie die Tische eingedeckt waren, Geschirr und Besteck, war nicht so mein Ding - das ist mir vorher noch nie negativ irgendwo aufgefallen. Ist aber sicherlich Geschmackssache und auch nur eine Randnotiz.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, gut geschult und erkundigte sich mehrfach nach unserem Wohlergehen.

Das Menu war recht schnell gewählt. Auch wenn bis auf das scheußliche Zitroneneis alles gut geschmeckt hat, hat mir mit Ausnahme der hervorragenden Suppe und den Gemüsebeilagen des Hauptganges der Pepp gefehlt. Es war technisch gut gekocht und auch nett angerichtet, auf diesem (Preis-)Niveau kenne ich aber sehr starke Konkurrenz in Hamburg. Vielleicht entschädigt im Sommer die Lage, um bei gutem Wetter draußen zu Sitzen. So würde ich aktuell andere Restaurants aufsuchen.

In advance you get rolls with oil. This comes in a reagent rack with each vial spiked with something different. In order not to reveal too much, I keep the various variants to myself.

Overall the food was worth the price.

Finally, I would especially like to praise our waiter. Extremely friendly, polite and accommodating.
Since I don't eat sugar myself, I couldn't eat any of the desserts on the menu. He offered me an alternative, which I gratefully accepted.

I definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

Die Lage ist unglaublich. Direkt am Hamburger Hafen in einem tollen kleinen Haus.
Nachteil - kein dazugehöriger Parkplatz. Die suche nach einem war tatsächlich schwierig und das obwohl wir an einem Sonntag mittag da waren. Am besten mit der Fähre fahren.

Vorab muss ich leider sagen das mein Essen mich nicht umgehauen hat ABER der Herr der mich bzw uns an dem Mittag bedient hat hat dies wieder gut gemacht.

Hier erwartet euch definitiv keine klassische Küche, hier wird gehobenes geboten.
Wer hier isst sollte wissen was Kniggeregeln sind.

Ich selbst habe mir Pasta bestellt. Meine Begleitung eins der Gängemenüs.

Vorab bekommt man Brötchen mit Öl. Dieses kommt in einem Reagenzständer von dem jedes Gläschen mit etwas anderem Versetzt wurde. Um nicht zu viel zu verraten behalte ich die diversen Varianten für mich.

Im großen und ganzen war das Essen seinen Preis wert.

Zum Schluss möchte ich vorallem unseren Kellner loben. Äußerst freundlich, höflich und zuvorkommend.
Da ich selbst auf Zucker verzichte konnte ich keinen der auf der Karte stehenden Nachtische essen. Von sich aus bot er mir eine Alternative an die ich dankend annahm.

Ich kann dieses Restaurant für besondere Anlässe definitiv weiterempfehlen.
