Up to my knowledge, the original Jim Block Burger has been established in Hamburg in the early 70s and by now they have several locations in Hamburg and a few scattered in Germany. It's a similar version to the renowned fast food McDonald's and Burger King however with better quality food. As a frequent visitor to Hamburg and to this restaurant, the idea in Jim Block is to eat in an uncomplicated way and at the same time enjoy excellent quality product and attentive service. Jim Block restaurants are friendly self-service restaurant, where burgers are grilled on order and made from good quality beef. Guess what? Their crispy salads are freshly prepared in front of the customers. By the way, something unique in how they run the operation in the restaurant that I never saw any where else which is they assign the customer's order number with a random name of a street in Hamburg, so pay attention to the name of Street printed on your receipt when they call to pick your order. I like the BBQ Burger and it's my favourite.

It's ok but overpriced for what it is. Burgers were a bit dry, would expect them to be cooled perfectly in this kind of place. Has as much ambiance as a burger king and I think going there would have been a better value for money.

It has delicious burgers. Tender bread with the meat from the famous Block House chain (Block house restaurant is directly on its side). You can either sit inside or outside.
You can see the kitchen behind the counter and the chefs who prepare the burgers.
Instead of numbers they assign street numbers to each customer and they call the streets when their dishes are ready !

Tasty burgers. Fast service. Dog was allowed inside. They are dog-friendly. Toilets were clean.
I love that you get a burger on a plate with utensils. Food somehow tasted better when you eat it of the plate.

Price for a meal is higher than shown on the menu but still fair. Just 30 cent more (10,70 Because the mayonnaise costs 0,50 extra). I expected a better taste and quality. The bun was falling apart and was (I guess) soaked in water from the salad leaf. The fries were almost cold, tomatoes equal to flower powder… the staff was ok but clearly on a bad mood. According to the offer around this was my last visit at this restaurant.
