We spent 5 hours in this museum and felt like we need one more day. Has lot of pieces displayed, lot of history to learn and very beautiful rooms. You should definitely visit International Maritime Museum from Hamburg. Better start in the morning so you will get to see all its beautiful ships and exposure.

A detailed museum covering the nautical history of Hamburg and the United German states. Particularly recommended for those interested in the subject matter, but still plenty to see for those new to the topic. Concise and with information in English. The museum is quite large and worth the price of admission. Can get discounts through the hamburg card

I’m not a big fan of ships, but this museum is just amazing! It has 9 levels of exhibition, so you can spend here the whole day ???????? moreover, it is allowed to go outside and come back within one day without extra fee! Would love to visit it it again.
P.S. the lady that checked our tickets was so nice and explained a lot about this museum ???? if you’ll be there definitely talk to her too

This place is an amazing place to go if you enjoy anything maritime. The museum is 9 stories tall with almost every type of ship you could ever think of. You can spend a whole day inside this place looking at the small or lvery large ship models. There also is a whole entire floor dedicated to maritime art pieces. This a great place to take your kids so if you ever have the time reserve a good couple hours to come here you won't regret it.

What night is an interesting museum for whoever loves everything about ships, navy and Maritime. The museum is quiet huge, so consider a good amount of time if you’d like to visit all!! It is a 10-floor building with different topics. What I was missing from this museum was some interactive learning or practice for kids to keep them busy and interested!

This is indeed, a maritime museum.

Thus, if one really loves a true nautical experience, from Hamburg maritime history, to German naval history, to history of a specific Hamburg shipping country, to paintings and miniatures.

It is a bit pricey, but again, if one truly LOVES this, then it is well worth it.

Must go for all Marine enthusiasts. The Museum is huge, the prices range from 11-20 Euros depending on your status. In total there are 10 floors and at-least it will take 3-4 hours (Could take more if you read about all the ships). Being a fan of World War 2, I was extremely happy to see the 1:100 Scaled Bismarck, Tirpitz, Yamato, HMS Hood, Shells of Bismarck and Tirpitz, U Boat and many more. The whole Museum is on a ship theme, there are decks (floors) and each floor is made of wooden flooring, when you walk you get the creaky noise, and it gives a feel of a ship. Apart from the WW2, there are others ships as well, actually a lot many starting from the initial ones which were made of wood, till the modern ones. Each floor has its own story, and all are worth visiting. I could also see MG42, MG34, MP-40 and many other guns. There are definable many more things to see, Art work, Models, Stories, Uniforms, batches and so many more.

If TL;DR - Definable everyone should visit this museum once, please take at-least 3-4 hours time and explore every floor.
