Hotel good but one pays too high prices for real basic rooms (more than 160 Euros a day for two persons) in a not that nice city area. Also you have to wait in a queue until you can go to breakfast (see picture). Service quite nice though. Breakfast also fine.

Great clean and safe budget hotel close to the action, not too far from Hamburg Hbf, traffic noise is intolerable but the windows keep the sound out really well! As we were there in summer, I would have appreciated aircon- there were controls in The room but it was virtually non existent and we ended up not bothering so the room was stuffy! In spite of this. I would recommend this place. The staff were fantastic!

I arrived by train at the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, the main train station in Hamburg. It was a short walk (about 5 min) that was not difficult even with all my luggage. The check-in was quick and easy, the room was clean and comfortable. I loved the second bunk above the queen-sized bed below. I actually decided to sleep on the top bunk (and I am 61... guess, still a kid at heart!). It was great! The room and bathroom were clean. It was a great place to recover from an overnight flight and from which to set out into Hamburg.

I had an awful experience with this hotel. I made my reservation in March for the end of June. I checked if everything is okay multiple times before the travel and even on the train while on my way. Upon arrival I was informed my booking was cancelled three hours ago without my knowledge. They said they called me before 6 pm to confirm and since I hadn't answered, they just cancelled it and gave the room to someone else. I have nothing in my call history and the phone number was correct so I don’t know who did they call but not me. I also didn't get any email about it and there was no such info in the Accor app. I was there at 9 pm, the check-in started at 3 and apparently I only had until 6 to get my room so it's just riddiculous. I travel a lot and I never heard of something like this. They were fully booked just like most of the city so I faced a threat of not having anywhere to sleep that night. I ended up paying 400 eur for 2 nights at a hotel that was definitely not worth it. I am just so disappointed because Ibis was always a brand that I could trust. I stayed with them in Warsaw, Brussels, Vienna, Berlin and Paris but now I won't even consider it anymore. Please be careful with them since they are clearly not fair to their clients.

Well, it's budget...
Don't expect anything extraordinary.
8 minutes walk from central train station.
12 minutes walk from the tourist district
40 minutes walk from st. Paoli, which is the best part of town

Rooms are clean, no hand towels and the bed is very bad. I think they forgot to add the mattress.
