We have eaten here many times over the years but this was the first time in quite a while, and the first time we reviewed I Vigneri. We always liked the restaurant for the superior quality of food and the nice ambience. The food was fantastic this time as well, perfectly prepared pasta, perfectly cooked meat and fish. The presentation was also nice and we didn’t have to wait for a long time for the food.
We found that the waiter, who has been there for as long as we have been coming here (6+ years), unfortunately had become rather arrogant and nonchalant. We weren’t sure if he was trying to be funny or if he simply was that arrogant. He didn’t ask the lady what she wanted to drink, he didn’t present the wine before pouring it (we even had to ask what he was pouring!), and he wasn’t seeking eye contact while speaking with us. Pity… his behavior ruined what could otherwise have been a perfect dining experience. We have the feeling that I Vigneri has become so successful that they don’t think they need to take good care of their customers anymore.
