Fantastic concept! Combined supermarket and restaurant! You can have a great lunch or dinner (very good kitchen) and afterwards you are able to buy products from local and organic farms around Hamburg!
Can really recommend this place!

Area is a little run down. Stylish location, but can be noisy and no air con. Products are pricey and kitchen was closed late afternoon.

You’re in for a treat if you’re a vegetarian or vegan for that matter because they have some really unique dishes that are very good and exotic. The setting is also not bad but a little further out of the crowded popular squares of Hamburg. Try the cauliflower dish.

Quality food, very delicious. Sourced from local area, kind of like farm to plate. Can also purchase local produce foods for home. Fish was really tasty with a pea puree base. Cheese platter to finish made for a fabulous meal. Drink options are plenty as well. There are a few interesting beers to try a week, some from local brewery.

We were a group of 5 and had a lunch reservation at Hobenköök. The place itself is really nice, halfway market/halfway restaurant - so be aware it will get loud. We ordered 4 different meals, some were good, at least was totally bland (my Senfeier almost didn't have any Senf in the sauce, the eggs - declared as 5 minute eggs - were basically raw). I tried all the dishes as the only German of the group. The fish and the stew I enjoyed a lot. Everything has high quality - also all the natural/climate-friendly/astisanal groceries at the market. The staff was incredibly friendly. Awesome cakes for dessert.
Maybe we had a bad day but I would still highly recommend it and also come back.

The concept of this restaurant is locally produced food, which i appreciate. I enjoyed the meat, it was good, not the best i've ever had but probably the most expensive. The mushrooms and the broccoli cream did not go well together with the dish. The setting of the restaurant is like an industrial area. Interesting to try it but for me it will only happen once in this lifetime.

Enjoy good local cuisine in a fancy setting. Service was attentive, kind and not too slow during our visit. Selection of lunch options is limited but totally fine (4 choices: Veg, Soup, Chicken, Fish). Attached to the indoor supermarket there was also a variety of salads to mix your own plate (9,90€). Would be great to take a salad as side dish. However, bread and olive oils for trial can be enjoyed as starter included in the lunch price.
Prices are reasonable but at the upper during lunch time.
