Where else do you get to see deer in a park in the middle of a major city, well just to the west of it. And peacocks. At the right time of the year you'll hear the woodpeckers at work.
The deers are fenced in (to keep the humans and their dogs out).
Dogs can roam free in this park.
By the way, don't feed the deers, ducks or the geese.
There's also a large children's play area, and plenty of huge trees to keep you occupied.
For the more adventurous (fit), there's a path down to the river Elbe, with more to find, but you have to climb back don't forget.
And at the entrance, there's the café.
Parking is not always easy at the weekend or bank holiday.
The pathways are being improved, making it easier and less muddier, after rainier days.
