I have to say that Elsa's Restaurant is so freaking good! I wanted to go to a place to try new, homemade flavors and feel cozy and I could not have come across a better option than this, it is totally worth going, the buffet has a variety of flavors and colors at another level and Elsa is super friendly and helpful, whether you are vegan or not, you can't miss this place, I recommend it 100%

Food is stunning! Even if you know all the ingredients, you will be surprised with the taste! Very fresh, looking great, smell even better ???? Spicy and delicious. And beetroots. You thought you know How beetroots taste? Well, go to Elsa's and discover how it should be served ????

Elsa's is one of Hamburg's true hidden gems. The wonderful. It's flavorful and exotic and somehow feels like a home cooked meal. One of the best restaurants in the city. If you haven't been there yet, you must treat yourself.

It was my first time trying Eritrean cuisine and I really enjoyed my meal at Elsa's. I ordered mint tea and had the buffet. The tea was very fresh, directly using mint leaves. The buffet consisted of a great variety of fresh food.

Nice Ethiopian buffet. Very friendly staff and tasty food. The place is cozy and small so it might be a bit crowded lunch time.
I loved the fact that the drinks are also self service. I didn't like the tea since I am not a spicy (not chilli!) tea fan but my wife liked it.
Price is also good

It is always a pleasure to come here. The owner is always super welcoming, and friendly and a true Gastgeber. The food is delicious, homemade, and filled with love! You can really taste and see that everything is self made; her pastries cant be overlooked! Vegetarians and Vegans will also walk out of here satisfied. Veggie food here is not an afterthought, its a balanced part of the buffet!
I don´t write a lot of reviews, but for this wonderful hidden gem- in a heartbeat!
