Pretty disappointing weekend breakfast. The café advertises a buffet when it is in fact, a rather stingy service table with access to a small, generally empty buffet. One is allowed to awkwardly ask for top-ups, in which case you will be served ridiculously small amounts of the requested item on a saucer (see picture with a 2-Euro coin for scale). That being said, the waiters and waitresses are welcoming and friendly and the seating outside pleasant under the trees.

It was lovely!!!
The waitress was sooo sweet, even tho it was hot and busy she kept serving everyone with a big smile and took some time to engage with me. She also gave me a freshly baked cookie fresh out of the oven! The menu included really interesting things like ginger-pampelmuse or Hibiscus Lemonade and exotic tea creations for coffee alternatives. The interior is so cosy, hygge and just as light and friendly as the girls who work their! What a gem!

Breakfast for 2 persons 34 euros, served with missing elements. Quality and taste definitely do not deserve the price!
Staff told us they’d charge us for one person as the platter was not complete, but at the casher we had to pay for two! Coffee not included

2022-07-31, response to the comments from the owner: I must say I still remember clearly it was not a misunderstanding. We were there kinda late so the waiter told us they don’t have enough food but they can offer us 17 euros for one round. In the end, not all the food came as mentioned, and the waiter refused the promised 17 euros, which 2 of my other friends also was confirmed while ordering. So we we’re shocked and very disappointed !

To avoid "waste", café Brooks invented a very original solution: serve minuscule portions and keep the "buffet" table empty most of the time! Café Brook is a place where you pay 20 euros for a buffet and realize that there is no food on the plates most of the time. The café asks patrons to request service table instead. If only! If you ask for more food (or actually, any food), you will be served half a cheese slice here, a teaspoon of spread there, and go back home hungry. For 20 euros, you could get an actual breakfast elsewhere AND donate the difference to an environmental organization. Don't waste your time, there are plenty of better alternatives in the city.

Absolutely love this place! Amazing coffee, good vibes, kind people and a beautiful designed atmosphere. Can only recommend from my heart.

Mouth-watering cakes and friendly staff, this place is totally great for chilling and unwinding. There's even a corner with soft cushion, fluffy pillows and toys where children can play and be distracted.

Small café, so book a table for the weekends. This place is one of the best in Hamburg for cake. I find they need more staff on weekends (at least for breakfast rush hour). Also, it happened to me twice that, if you want to order something to take away (e.g. coffee and cake to go) it gives them problems because they are so busy (on weekends). But its a must try place because the cakes and coffee are amazing.
