Was uns und auch unseren Freunden bitter aufgestoßen ist, war die Bewirtung der Gäste. Nach dem ersten Ausschank der Bestellungen wurde weder darauf geachtet, ob die Gäste noch mit Getränken versorgt sind, noch irgendwann einmal gefragt, ob noch ein Wunsch besteht. Die Gäste mussten sich, fast wie in einem SB-Restaurant selbst um die Aufgabe von Bestellungen kümmern. Dann der Obergau: Beim bewirten der Gäste verschüttete ein Kellner ein großes Alsterwasser komplett über einen unserer eingeladenen Freunde. Abgesehen davon, dass so etwas eigentlich nicht passieren darf, aber doch mal vorkommen kann, war die Reaktion der Chefin mehr als enttäuschend. Das einzige was sie dazu beitrug, war der Hinweis an ihren Mitarbeiter, dass sie ihm doch schon oft gesagt hätte, keine Flaschen auf das Tablett zu stellen. Keine Entschuldigung an den von oben bis unten durchnäßten Gast, keine Bedauern, kein einziges Angebot einer Entschädigung oder der Übernahme der Reinigungskosten. Sehr enttäuschend und überhaupt nicht professionell. Der arme Kerl, dem dass Missgeschick passiert ist, hat sich dagegen mehrfach entschuldigt und überzeugend zum Ausdruck gebracht, wie peinlich ihm der Vorfall gewesen ist. Insgesamt haben wir uns den gesamten Abend nicht besonders wohl gefühlt. Von einem "Dinner" haben wir etwas mehr erwartet. Das fängt bei der mangelnden Begrüßung der Gäste an und hört bei der Zuteilung der Speisen am Buffet in kleinen Miniportionen auf (das Essen reichte gerade eben so, das Gemüse vom Hauptgang war schon nach kurzer Zeit alle und dass obwohl 8 Gäste die Fahrt nicht angetreten hatten).
Fazit: Bewirtung mangelhaft, Essen durchschnittlich, von einem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis kann man eigentlich nicht sprechen. Schade!

You can theoretically take normal Alster tours every day, but you should treat yourself to something like that. It is well worth it.

Das Alster Dinner-Shipping ist wirklich mit ganz viel Herzblut inszeniert und macht sehr viel Spaß.
Wer Alstershippern mag, sollte dieses wirklich mal mit Essen verbinden. Das Catering ist wirklich klasse und ist auf den Punkt. Bei meiner Tour hatte ich Matjes in Sherry-Sauce, Vitello Tonnato, Roastbeef, Kartoffel-Gratin und vieles mehr. Auf meinen Fotos erkennt man ja noch einiges.

Man fährt entspannt über die Alster und deren Kanäle und entdeckt soviel mehr bei einem leckeren Wein, Sekt oder Bier.
Normale Alster-Touren kann man theoretisch jeden Tag machen, aber so etwas sollte man sich schon mal gönnen. Es lohnt sich sehr.

Schade das hier ein Stern vergeben wird und dann noch ohne einen Kommentar.
