The room was clean with a good price. However when we arrived the kitchen smelled very bad and there was leftover foods everywhere. We didn’t want to enter the kitchen again and never used it. Also we got a little odd welcoming. When we checked in we asked for advice and recommendations around the city and the response we got from the reception was that “you can google, you have Wi-Fi in your room”. To me, that was not service minded at all and even kind of rude. If you don’t have any specific recommendations it’s easy to just say something like: “from here it’s like a 10 min walk to Altstadt which is very beautiful with a lot of stores, restaurants and cafés.” To at least we welcoming and nice.

Very nice guest house and hostel. It has ensuite independent rooms as well. Very clean and well managed.

Each room has a small refrigerator and there is a common well equipped kitchen with the wherewithal for making simple meals.

Located quite conveniently close to the Freiburg Railway Station (Hbf) and the tram system. Atleast one convenience store "Penny" is just around the corner and a few restaurants are nearby. On Sunday most places are closed.

The Alstadt is not too far, about 2 km.

Most certainly recommend this place even for senior citizens.

The only issue is that the Hostel is on the 2nd floor and carrying baggage could be an issue with older gentry.

Very good accommodation and location. Very good quality/price ratio. 24hr parking for 8€.
But the hostel was noisy until 2am and again at 6am. We were maybe unlucky with the other guests staying this night. Reception is closed at night but apparently there is a number you can call. No compensation was offered to us after this very difficult night.

The receptionist was very friendly but the room we got dissapointed us. It was dusty and one of the windows had a difekt and hence we were not allowed to open it(imagine with summer). Otherwise,the facilities like kitchen and coffee machine was quite thoughtful. It is also situated very close to the train station and a park and playground around the corner.

Felt like a hostel even though you have your own apartment. The door didn't close properly, and the door to the bathroom had a hole in it. There is no parking close, we had a bunch of luggage and was hard to get to the place. Would not recommend.

Very accommodating, focusing on your comfort and happiness over the Euro! We came with an incorrect booking and not only did they try fit us in but gave us a free upgrade to do so! Some cool rooms too. Very clean.

We booked our rooms 6 months in advance (the guesthouse not hostel). Requested for connecting rooms but received an upgrade from standard twin to double bed! Splendid! Thanks so much Britta Schmidt. We are allow to use the facilities. Did our laundry and some cooking too. We reached abt 10+am and fortunately the rooms are ready for us to check in with no extra charges. How wonderful. Rooms are spacious. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again!
