Anura’s Elephant is one of the best restaurants in town. You can find the most delicious dishes from Sri Lanka here. Plus, Anura is very kind and welcoming. 100% recommended.

What a weird and fantastic place. Every particular day of each week Anura serves the same dish, one dish for €5 in a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian version (and an option of side salad for an extra buck). So far I liked Tuesday and loooooved Wednesday. It's super popular with the lunch crowd always busy. The guy is super nice and friendly and gives out free seconds. ????????????

One of the most affordable lunch restaurants in town. The food also happens to be great. The selection is pretty narrowed down to one course plus a few choices of salad - but it is a brilliant, intimate place.

Most probably the best Sri Lankan restaurant in Freiburg. You can eat a wide range of Sri Lankan and German foods. The owner is a very friendly guy. It's also very nice to have little chat with him. If you visit the place one time chances are high you would visit for a second time. This place is also good to have small scale parties and celebrations.

Anura's cosy restaurant is a treasure in Freiburg. He cooks delicious daily dishes and treats his customers as guests in his home. It's very easy to get comfortable and become a regular visitor of Anura's place
