A lovely and cozy hotel that's conveniently
near the tram located in the quiet neighborhood
of Gunterstal near the tram to Freiburg, about 15 min. Ride. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is generous with attentive service. The drawbacks are lack of an elevator and the tram passing nearby till late hours, but it wasn't too bothereome even for light sleepers like me

Fantastic meal. We had the 4 course menu. It was our 30 year wedding anniversary and everybody was so friendly. We really enjoyed going there. Until next time.

Excelent food, close to public transport, Freiburg center about 10 min away (by tram). Cons: too close to the public transport :) (trams run right next to the rooms), weak wifi, rooms could do with some general repairs.

The room itself met every expectation, very comfortable and large compared to other german hotels of the same price category. Friendly staff.

The breakfast, however was a bit disappointing. A lot of condiments had expired and the room was awkwardly silent. This could easily be improved by serving breakfast in the large dining room instead of the 'claustrophobic' small breakfast room.

Lovely views from the room. Free roadside parking. Check in first before you explore the town as there are some freebies at reception (eg waterfall entry) that you can benefit from. One of the access points to the waterfall is literally opposite entrance to the hotel.

Very good food and service! They also provided a high chair for our baby.

good food, side dishes could be more elaborate. expensive but fairly sized portions.
