The hostel is right next to the forest and has a pool and sauna, but you have to be naked to swim or use the sauna

We were so looking forward to the 'hostel with spa' experience, but were so badly dissapointed that we want to warn all of you to stay away. Definitely top 3 most overpriced hostels we've ever been. The sauna they boast with is only open for 2 hours per day also the swimming pool and other facilities close at 20h which leaves you with only 1 shower for the entire hostel. They kicked us out of the only semi-nice sitting space at 21h45 when we had just arrived after a long day and were left to sit in the hall with no table or heating. Also the kitchen and sad board game drawer are all closed after 22h. The wifi only works downstairs and on top of the steep 30 euros per night (to stay in mixed dorm of 6), you have to pay extra for any amenities such as sheets and towels. We didn't even want to try the pool because of the overall dirty feel of the space. Dust and dead insects everywhere, we even saw a cockroach. Not worth the trip at all.

It's a very good and comfortable place to stay. The warden speak English. Super easy for foreign travelers. It's about a 15 minute walk from railway station. The place has a swimming pool a sauna and a furnished kitchen. It's very quiet and peaceful place. The design is very beautiful. Only con I felt is that the beds are made of some kind of sponge. It was uncomfortable sleeping in it. And there are some additional payment required for the bedsheets and blankets etc . 5 euro additional was required for tax. And a 20 was deposit. These were not mentioned in the website.

The hostel-style dormitories were fairly comfortable and include full use of spa which was very nice. Be aware a €4.50 extra charge is made for bed linen and towels. Staff were helpful but not super friendly.

The breakfast here is terrible! Do not buy it - go next door to Busse’s Waldcafe which offers a fantastic and generous breakfast buffet for about €11

So overall the stay was good. Staff is helpful although they understand very less english.

There are 2 factors that need to be considered before booking a place here :

1. They only take cash / germany debit cards
2. You have to pay extra for linen and towels

Overall good spa and swimming pool. You have to carry your own shampoo and shower gel.

We stayed there for 2 days in October. All the beds were booked.

One thing to keep in mind is the spa area is full naked unisex area and no clothes are allowed expect towels
