Very lovely Cafe. There is a lot of costumers who come alone to eat here. The quality of Coffee, food and cake I mean everything is very high. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to impress someone or have a elegant time. Staffs are very kind and you will be satisfied with what you get. They take cash and credit cards.

The cake slices were huge, and the Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte was really fresh and well-made.
The cappuccino was good as well.
What was not good was the stained and dirty tablecloth that should have been replaced.
Also, although they close at 6 pm, the staff started clearing everything at 5.35pm and it was very uncomfortable sitting there and trying to enjoy the coffee and cake while they were loudly banging around us and moving chairs and tables.
My guests and I arrived at 5.10 pm, managed to order at 5.20 pm and then as we got our orders at 5.30 pm, we were gulping down the coffe and trying to eat the cake as quickly as possible as the staff cleared everything starting from 5.35 pm.
We won't be back.

If you want to feel like a guest in the 5 Star hotel than go to this cafe... You will not pay much more than in other cafés in Freiburg but you will get the feeling that you someone special and you will be served by real professionels!

They have the most delicious pralines in Freiburg - even better than the swiss one's. Also their cakes care fantastic! Most cakes taste like some mass with sugar; their cakes taste balanced - the ingredients come out much better and they haveany different kind of more unusual cakes (Pistachio buttercreme for example). I ordered 4 times cake from them and they were a hit. Also they agreed to make a special order to match my taste and basicly reinvented a cake. I can only recommend!

Delicious deluxe Berliner with very special marmelade filling. Soft and flaky, yum.

The service quality can be unbelievably bad. The condescending attitude is not acceptable for any civilized country, except here. The current management seems to run a provincial cafe, where 1 Euro extra can matter a great deal, and making unjustified addition to the bill. Customer service is negative 5.

Service was unprofessional and ruthless. Especially, the service from the german Kellnerin was very mean. One wonders how the cafe belongs to a 4-star hotel.
