Absolutely good experience.
I have been here maybe 15 years before but I was well impressed.
I admit that we were lucky and got one of the best tables at the terrace. I recommend booking in advance because the terrace was fully booked on Saturday already a day before.
The place is well kept but not too formal, the obvious highlight is the terrace with the amazing view on the city.
The service was really good, fast and attentive without being intrusive, and at least some waiters speak English.
The food is also quite good, quite a twist on typical German foods. Also a wide range if vegetarian and vegan options is available.
Prices are in line with the quality, medium-upper range.
Will be happy to come bank in the future.

There are a lot of customers in this restaurant, so you need to wait. At that time, I couldn't see the Black Forest cake at the scene, and I was very disappointed. But the manager told me that he would take out the finished cake soon, and he would keep a piece for me. So in the end I ate the Black Forest Cake and it was delicious. The cream had a strong cherry wine flavor and the cake was soft.

We went to this restaurant to have a nice view on Freiburg. We hadn't booked, which you should really do ! The staff found us a place a outside despite all the crowd, but we couldn't enjoy the panoramic view. We were a little disappointed with the dishes. We found it rather expensive for what was served. It was 'good' classic cuisine, nothing more, nothing less.

Wonderful restaurant! This place has been here for decades and was my parents' favorite place in the 80s. The food is great, nice ambience and view (if you are seated in the right direction). Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Nice view but expensive regarding menu prices. Better would be to focus on quality and fine dishes instead of quantity.

Absolutely delicious!
I took the vegetarian menu and I could not have been more satisfied.

Recommended!
Also for the staff and the view :)
