Sadly, it was a disaster. The rooms reeked of cigarette smoke and the hotel has no air conditioning. One of our companions has serious breathing issues. We made the error of checking in- and the ladies remained behind while the men went looking for another hotel. When we returned 1 1/2 hours later to check out and were informed we owed the entire night lodging, as the ladies has stayed in the room while the men were out. I make the offer to pay for the cleaning service… bug you no avail. We paid and left to another cleaner and a/c . Over rated… and not clean don’t stay there !!!

Very clean, comfy and sound proof Rooms... Had Fan/Ventilator in the room. Breakfast precisely Rührei was perfectly cooked.

I stayed here for 4 nights for single bedroom. The room is comfy and very clean. The bathroom is really clean and smell good. The reception staffs are friendly and nice and gave excellent directions. The staff at the kitchen are also excellent, nice greeting and served my good drinks every morning. Breakfast has a variety of options, clean and yummy. The hotel is at the center of Freiburg near shopping places and important place. The hotel is close to Freiburg Münster, less than 5 mins by walking. And, just 15 mins to the train station (Freiburg HB). This hotel is also near tram station. Supermarket is under the hotel, you can find some box of food here. I absolutely love this hotel, if I go back to Freiburg again. I will stay here.

First of all: I did not stay at the hotel. I just want to thank the lovely reception lady that helped me so much today. I thought I had booked at City Hotel but obviously I had not. I was so lost as I couldn't remember where I booked. The lady at the reception didn't leave me alone with my problem (I was really really desperate). She did go out of her way to help me find the right destination. And because of her patience, local knowledge and drive she managed to find it. Next time I will stay at City Hotel for sure. When they offer such great service for someone that wasn't gonna stay, I imagine they're having even more excellent service for their guests. So thank you R again for your help and see you soon.

Very bad attitude in reception, force me to choose breakfast earlier morning without option to cancel the breakfast. Never visit this hotel again.
