I visited Zoo Frankfurt with my 2 1/2 year old son. We enjoyed seeing the nice variety of animals and the facilities were fairly clean. We were able to find ample parking at a nearby parking garage. Unlike several of the zoos we have been to, most of the exhibits were hard for our 2 1/2 year old son to see on his own. The viewing glass was often too high for him and I would have to hold him. Also the glass in most of the exhibits were hard to see through. These were the only two downsides to the zoo and other than that, we enjoyed our time there.

Amazing to see a zoo maintained in the middle of such a busy City. Had reasonably good collection of animals. But the cages are built to provide closer to natural ambiance for the animals that in several cages the animals are probably inside their resting area that they are not visible for visitors. From the animals point of view it is good for them that they are not disturbed too much. But from visitors point of view it might be disappointment that we could not see some of them. Also the water in the reservoirs are not that clean. Though it was really good some thing was not giving me full satisfaction to give a 4 or 5 start. This is probably the first time I see a zoo having ants, fly, several varieties of rates and bats. Highlights are Penguins, apes and reptiles house.

Positive:
Wonderful zoo with different and rare animals. Kids really enjoyed. Especially in playground and goat touch and feel ground.

Negative:
Tiger and Lion were missing on our visit, Many animals displayed not available inside cage.

Quite big ZOO, lots of animals to see, with good, large enclosures. Markings and directions are quite readable and well-placed. Includes small petting zoo with goats. For now the Primates building is closed due to increased C-19 risk. Close to Tram and Metro stations. I'd recommend buying online tickets to avoid the ticket queue.

Just 2 stations with subway from Hauptwache. Place is really small, but it’s also well taken care of. Price is really good. For adult 9€ and for children (to 16 years old) 6€???? I love animals and prices in this zoo too!!

I would give 5 stars for the conservation and management. The ticket costes 13€ for 1 adult, 3-4 hours is enough time to explore the zoo.
The WC was clean, could have been better if there was a drinking tap for visitors to fill bottles. By the way the queue was long so I bought the ticket from my mobile phone at that time and could enter the zoo faster.

If you go in the morning, you can also see shows where the care takers are feeding animals. I could not see Indian Lion but was amazed to see Penguine, Giraffe and so many monkeys

Very nice zoo to visit especially with kids, saw my favorite animal the rhino. But some animals are missing one early day visit is enough to see the whole zoo. And don't miss the midget goat farm where you can pet the goats
