One of the best Japanese restaurants in Frankfurt. Have been there many times and each time I was just satisfied. The location is easy to reach. Very friendly staff, relaxing environment, nice quality of food. The staff cleaned menus once used and followed the corona policy dedicatedly.

If you want to treat to just spend slightly more for a nice meal of fresh authentic Japanese food, then this place is the right one for you. Whenever we come here this place has always a nice atmosphere. The rice is fluffy and has the right consistent and whenever I eat a slice of fish sometimes I just need to appreciate each and every one of them. Each Menu comes with tea, Miso and some small side dishes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, will definitely come back!

Absolutely 10/10 restaurant for true sushi lovers, and with that I mean, if you really love quality raw fish, this is your spot in Frankfurt.

Upon entering the restaurant you’ll immediately notice the very quiet atmosphere, no background music, no loud crowds, everyone seems to be able to read the room - which is to be respectful of the peaceful space they’ve created in this rather modest restaurant in the center of Frankfurt. The interior reminds me a lot of simple sushi establishments in Japan. No fancy interior, no fancy utensils or plates - in fact even the cheap chopsticks you usually get when ordering delivery food.

They are go all in on their sushi though!! And oh my - do they deliver!!! The sushi chefs are older and look very experienced in their craft. When having their sushi is when I really knew why they didn’t need to make a big fuss around interior or fancy concepts. The fish sortiment was exceptionally fresh and clean tasting, all melted on your tongue immediately. Also a positive surprise, they put the wasabi on the rice underneath the fish for you (nigiri pieces) just like real sushi chefs do in Japan - small detail but big difference. We also tried the tempura shrimp. I always find tempura items to be a good indicator if a Japanese restaurant is solid. It’s a simple yet difficult item, similar to a French omelette. Holy moly, their shrimp tempura was amazing! The shrimp was so juicy and had a perfect texture and the batter was so light yet crispy. It was absolutely perfect. I was blown away!

Given that this is Frankfurt and you don’t have as many authentic sushi places around, of course you’d pay a good amount of money for this quality. But honestly, if you’re a real sushi lover, please pay the money, support this amazing establishment and also enjoy the fish :)

Definitely you get transported somewhere else once you enter this restaurant. Great quality food, that is both simple and authentic. Fish is fresh and the best highlight for me, how friendly their service is.

TL;DR: Excellent Japanese food. Extensive inexpensive lunch menu. Great dinner menu too, but reserve a table.

This restaurant caught my eye when walking by along the road, and we were drawn in for lunch. The staff appeared to be all Japanese, and the ambience, while a little dated, added to the air of authenticity that we were back in Japan in a small neighbourhood restaurant.

The lunch menu was extensive, with choices between sashimi, sushi, donburi, and tempura. The tenzaru soba was perfect on a hot summer's day. We came again to sample their menu for dinner, and again wasn't disappointed, with excellent sushi, sashimi, and cooked fish and vegetable dishes.

I would highly recommend reserving a table before coming here though, as it appeared that they are mostly booked out for dinners.
