Great value for money. Very close to the train station. The staff were all very friendly, and the room was clean. I was expecting a few faults for the price, but it was quite modern.
The location is in the red light district, but I only had to walk one block to get to a street with good cafes and bars. (and also the spit where the walking tour of Frankfurt starts)

The hotel itself is actually very nice and so are the rooms. The only reason why I'm not giving a 5 star is because the elevator was constantly broken and it was not fun carrying heavy bags upstairs. Also there was a terrible smell coming from the restroom.
HOWEVER, beware that this is the RED LIGHT DISTRICT. Something that I didn't know until after I arrived there and realized how awful it is outside the hotel. Going outside after dark hours or early morning feels like an episode of the walking dead. This pretty much ruined my experience there, but the hotel did not have anything to do with that.

The room was modern and clean, but be aware of the red light district. I had a drug addict throwing a bottle at me when I arrived in the evening. Also the corner shop owner just in front of my room played really loud annoying music until 4am - despite of all windows closed it was impossible to fall asleep. The streets surrounding the place smell heavily like urine.

Close to the train station. But on the bad side. Junkies and trash everywhere outside. Noise all night and not safe to walk at night. Next to a red light district.

Not for families, but price is great for solo travellers who don’t mind the grittiness.

The rooms are nice and we had a very nice service guy at the counter. BUT the location is like - 100.. Frankfurt really should think of a solution to get this corner of the city cleaned up.. it is freaking horrible

Positive: Location very well district is awful is Room is nice and very well linens ant towels Staff is clear and polite Negative: Awful district with all negative people outside Dirty and a lot of drunk and addicting people

***Management is irresponsive and unfair***. We booked a room at Grand Hotel Downtown Frankfurt for our parents fleeing Ukraine. Our parents were unable to cross the Polish border and were unable to arrive to the hotel in time. I called the hotel administration (at least 10 times) and wrote them emails but they didn't provide any official response and refused to refund money back or provide credit. They asked me to include their side of the story when I write this review. Paraphrasing: "we have had Ukrainian guests staying in our hotel for almost two months free of charge". This excuse does not justify their refusal to make the exception to refund due to border crossing issue.
