We really enjoyed our visit here:) We didn't have a lot of time to walk around the exhibitions (we had an hour roughly) but we still covered both open exhibitions. There is one permanent exhibition and the other one - "Katastrophe" was the temporary exhibition that portrayed catastrophic events and disasters in movies. Both exhibitions were great but we liked the permanent one better, thought it was more interesting and appealing:) It is also more interactive and has many unique items on display. They have reduced-priced tickets for students. I would recommend checking out this museum if you're around!

A fascinating place with great exhibits. The examples of early film technology were interesting and the information that explains how modern films are made was fantastic.
We spend a good 2 hours going around, taking in all the facts and watching the film snippets.
Highly recommended if you're looking for something to do in Frankfurt and you love movies.

Not big, but we liked the way it conveys the beginning of cinema, with concrete examples, it is interactive, so you can experience it all by yourself. A lot of information in english. TIme to spend - about 2 hours.

Definitely one of the top museums I've been to. A great concept and idea for the exhibitions, very well organized, a lot of highly valuable information and thought-provoking content, a lot of interactivity, a lot of samples, can't think of many things that they could have done better. Valuable for both long-time cinema fans and those who don't know much about it.

This museum is really worth visiting. We spent 2 hours here but one can easilly spend more time as well.. :) I was so happy to see sketches from Snow White and Peter Pan. The video compillations they show are nicely illustrating how light, colours and editing express feelings.

It was interesting museum. It's about history of cinema ,and you have an opportunity to watch the first films. The pictures are not allowed.

Very interesting museum with interactive exhibits. Informative movies to watch from the beginning of cinema to the present day. We particularly enjoyed the green screen experience.
