I couldn't tell you how good my experience was. the doctors are excellent but the wait for less serious cases is too long. three patients waited for a literal 8 hours sitting there to be seen. the other similar patients gave up waiting. In my case, I arrived at 12:40 noon and I went home after 11:00 p.m. I was able to stay because I wanted to know what I had, and because someone else was able to take care of my son. Lack of hygiene in bathrooms and offices

Horrible experience. I had a very stubborn myogelosis (hardened muscles) that wasn’t getting better, so I got checked out by a local neurologist and she sent me to Uniklinik Neurological dept. to rule out muscle diseases and identify the reason why I wasn’t getting better. The medical staff there had no interest in helping. I saw 5 different „doctors“ in 2 days, one more clueless than the next, who all asked the same questions. I was only given the medication I took with me, nobody bothered to check if it was appropriate or not, although at the time I was taking muscle relaxers and 600mg ibuprofen 3 times a day. The one „test“ that was done to check my muscle function was done by students in 5 minutes in a closet-like room. Finally, since the head of the Department Dr. Steinmetz, not figure out the cause for my symptoms, he announced they must be psycho-somatic, I should immediately discontinue my medical treatment ( ! ) and talk to someone instead. Fortunately I did not listen. Of course I continued my medical treatment +went back to my primary physician, who diagnosed an extreme vitamin D deficiency (close to 0)that had been missed at Uniklinik, despite bloodwork being done. After I started taking supplements, I slowly got better. Had the doctors at the Uniklinik done their job, I could have been helped earlier. Do yourself a big favor and go to Höchst instead.

Went for an MRI today. Staff were correct and spoke English. The questionnaire and clinic information brochure were in English which made it easy.
The MRI started 45 min late but that is expected sometimes with these kind of tests.

Worst experience ever had. It took 3 hrs of waiting for doctors to attend me in an emergency ward. Pathetic emergency reception. Took 1 hr to generate bill.
As I was not having German insurance card , I had to pay the hospital but on receipt they have made spelling mistake of my name even though I have given them my passport for reference.
Worst experience at all. Avoid as much as you can. I am also not sure whether the doctor (so called) was the doctor or student ....overall took 7hrs only for xray a d consultation..

I was sent by my doc here to do a muscle Biopsy three times but each time routine tests conducted and I was sent home. All 3 times I was examined by different doctors at the Hochschulambulanz. They were assistant doctors mainly students specialising in Neurology. NCV/EMG was done by someone very unsure of what they were doing (Students perhaps) . The needles and electrodes were being moved continously till the wanted graphs showed on screen. Each time I was sent back with a list of blood tests to be done which again took ages as it was disputed which doctor is authorised to do the tests. The tests results were mostly glanced over and the same tests as the previous ones repeated. There were no suggestions on how to proceed further or what further needs to be done. or the likely cause of my symptoms. After 2 years I have given up hope. I expected something better from a hospital that is training future doctors.but found them passing off the responsibility to family doctors to do the tasks. So much for the german health system. It takes months to get appointments and if you are a Kassen patient expect a discriminatory treatment even if you have paid huge amounts in the system as a freiwillige person.

Incompetent and long wait times. After the long wait I had I was sent home with high intracranial pressure to make an appointment. The next day I went to reschedule and I was pushed away twice. An elderly lady who couldn't move was just left sitting. They refused to drive her home and no taxi would take her through the elevator. Outrageous, no understanding and insensitive. If I can avoid it I will never set foot in there again.
