Very nice place with kind personell and great Croatian food for a good price. I will definately visit again if I am in Essen.

The food is actually very good, but my problem with this establishment is the customer service.

The owner is rude and not very pleasant to be around.
The restaurant itself is also bland and uninteresting.
I can't recommend this restaurant.

The food is very good and typical for the balcans, so if you miss Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia or you want to try something from there this is the right place.

Also the sraff are very polite and it is calm, you can enjoy yourself without any distractions.

I strongly recommend the chicken soop.

I have been at this restaurant twice and will go back again!

The food was fresh, cooked perfectly upon order and tasted great.

The owner is very friendly and also very accommodating. I had a late day at work and wanted a large Macedonian salad, which was not on the menu, he said no problem and made me a perfect large salad that filled me up.

If you want great food in a quaint little restaurant I recommend this place!

So after looking at the rating and reading the reviews which were quite positive, me and my Husband decided to give it a try. Honestly speaking we weren't too satisfied. The ambience was nice (small cozy place) ,
owner was also welcoming but food wasn't that great. For Vorspeise we ordered soups (Chicken and Goulash ) It was quite decent, infact we both relished it. The main dishes included a lot of meat (puten, Händchen, Bacon, steak) The meat being served didn't taste fresh infact, it tasted different to what the fresh grilled meat usually tastes. To us it felt frozen meat( We both have had much better Cebabcicci from a not so authentic Croatian restaurant which was really tasty)
I was highly disappointed with the Salad which is being served with the main dishes.. In my opinion it was displeasing to eye further wanting me not to eat it only. The sauce served with meat is very less and you really can't eat the French fries portion and meat portion with that being the quantity. If I would ever go there again it would only be because of soup.

Very Good grill, balkans art. Portions are very good and generous. Who want s to eat a good grill, visit the restaurant. They also serve Argentine beef. Place is not So pretentious, but for the relathionship betven you paid and you get or have is ****
