The museum is average size but it has its own charm and chic
So many antic peaces of ???? art
The exhibition is breath taking

Somewhat quirky exhibition, because the paintings aren't chrinological, but well worth a visit. The Wednesday Kunstpause is fabulous.

My time spent there was great. There was artwork from different eras. I had an amazing time and spend almost all day there. The staff were quite helpful, and if you do visit as a student, you get a discount. Was worth every minute

The best art museum in the old part of Erfurt, but way smaller, than I expected it to be. It has three departments: Mittelalter 1 on the ground floor (which unlike the other departments closes at 17:30!), Mittelalter 2 on the 1. floor, which really contains a mixture of epochs: from 17th century till contemporary art. The painting here are more or less thematically (and not chronologically) organized... and Sonderausstellung on the 2. floor, a special exhibition. Thumbs up to organization the mixture of biographical text and paintings.
The staff is really friendly here, lockers are downstairs with the bathrooms, which are nice and clean.
Unfortunately no audio guides.

Beautiful art and crafts museum in Erfurt city. There are fixed collection areas and other spots for temporary exhibitions.
