Great little izakaya/sushi restaurant. You wouldn’t necessarily travel here to eat perhaps but if you’re in the area, it’s a gem ????

I had the sushi deluxe and it was wonderful. Otoro and chutoro nigiri included. Not exactly cheap (the sushi plate was 38.50) but the quality was really high and I really enjoyed it. They have cooked stuff as well and a good selection of sakes. And a couple of shochu as well.

Nice place, high level food and friendly staff. Of course quality has its price, but it's worth the money you pay. Maybe the squid could be a little bit soft, but that's a personal opinion. The sake carpaccio and the tunfish maki are awesome! I can highly recommend it!

We went to this restaurant for 3 times, but have had 2 bad experience. We were there for dinner and ordered sushi and sashimi, but to our disappointment the fish was icy, it's almost like it was taken from a freezer and didn't have enough time to thaw. I thought the chef is a real sushi chef from Tokyo, but seems like he has missed the basics from sushi making.
Also the attitude of the chef was horrible and extremely rude. One time we went there for lunch in winter, when we step in the restaurant they didn't tell us that they were closing. Less than 10 minutes after our food arrived the chef came and ask us to pay and said they were closing In a rude manner, so we paid first and continue eating because we still had a lot of food left on the table. We had 4 adults and 2 kids so we can't really finish a meal within such a short time. Just a few minutes later the chef came again and ask us to leave again, since we sat near the entrance with a baby, the chef opened wide the the front door behind us in the middle of winter to try to kick us out.
This place has lower than average quality food, high price, and bad attitude. I don't recommend it anyone.

To be fair, Sabi u0026 Gari serves pretty good sushi and ramen, deserves a 4.5-star. But not for their service.
My brother unintentionally drank his self-brought water while waiting for our food and DRINKS to be served (after a long sunny day out during summer time), one of the waiters shouted at him from far for doing so. This is extremely rude. We couldn't even hear what he has shouted because it was loud and out of a sudden while my family was chit chatting. I understand this could be the restaurant policy that no outside drinks are allowed, but he could have come close to our table and politely request my brother not to do so, instead of shouting at your innocent guest who is trying to quench his thirst with a sip of own water, while waiting for your slow service.
After finishing our dinner, we would like to do a simple celebration by cutting our self-brought cake for my cousin. Again we are FORBIDDEN to do so. Because the cake is apparently outside food. We try to negotiate with him and agree that we will not sing birthday song (in case if they find us too noisy, but there are only two other customers at that time, no one else). But NO, we are NOT allow to celebrate birthday nor eating our OWN cake.
Never in my life that I have been to a restaurant that does not allow their customers to do simple birthday celebration. We were not loud nor unreasonable customers, just a small family gathering. We tried to discuss with the chef but chef refused to look into our eyes and just shake his head, the manager of the restaurant was hiding behind the counter, watching all this happened without giving any solution. We felt very unappreciated in such restaurant and it definitely ruined our mood to celebrate birthday, I have been to this restaurant for many times and I can't believe such incident actually happened. It is my family's first time and first day in Europe, and they are definitely "impressed" by the service given by the staffs in this restaurant. After all this is not a low range restaurant, we are very disappointed by how we were being treated, we did not even receive any apology for being rude to us.
