AMAZING. The chef and sommelier deserve the highest praise for their imaginative, delicious, and delightful menu and wine pairings. I've been working two-three jobs and saving for three years for this trip and this meal is WORTH the splurge. Do yourself a favor and go all the way with the wine pairing.

The first time I tried Setzkasten was during lockdown for their takeaway menu. It was spectacular and so much fun, but going in person was truly an experience. The service is fantastic, not pretentious at all like many Michelin star restaurants, friendly, warm, welcoming and informative. The chef's table was wonderful, watching the detail going into prep was fantastic, such a calm organised environment.

The food was beautiful. The attention to detail, texture and taste was second to none. What really stood out were the additional touches. The smoked creme fraiche with choux pastry with craquelin was absolutely spectacular and the butters were sublime. Every course was exceptional and the accompanying wine paired perfectly with each one. Personally I found dessert a little disappointing, as if they don't have a pastry chef and a regular chef made dessert. It was fine, just didn't have the same flair as the other courses and I remember thinking the same when we got the takeaway menu.

Overall an incredible experience, we will definitely be back.

Great experience!!! Super friendly staff, simply superb food with exquisite flavors. Also very unique to enter the restaurant trough the supermarket. Overall experience was great: 110% recommended, we are definitely visiting again.

My first michelin star restaurant experience inside a super market... The main course is the best dish. Too much effort to "make" the dishes fancy with sauces, all the sauces don't match the taste of the dishes and are completely unnecessaey imo. Service is good!

An absolutely fantastic food experience, great service and great value for money! Each dish was exquisite and we have already booked our next table. Cannot recommend enough!

Stylish but not too posh 1* Michelin awarded place , located in the basement of a supermarket (!). Been there most recently and we had a great evening with superb food and good wines. Very attentive and friendly sommelier. Regards from Hong Kong!
