It’s an important landmark in Düsseldorf. You can see its green bell tower from far. Going inside it’s simple yet elegant. Most importantly it’s peaceful. There is a large lawn outside of the church.

Beautiful architecture. St John's Church (German: Johanneskirche), with its almost 88 m high tower, is the largest Protestant church in Düsseldorf. It is located at the Martin-Luther-Platz. The church was built from 1875 to 1881 in the Romanesque Revival style.It was severely damaged in World War II, but was saved from destruction and in 1953 it was reopened. The last major remodeling took place in 2008. There is a cafe through which one enters the actual church.

İt is big and wort to see. I had some time for train I wanted to walk around and I sow it. Nice to see..

Great building. It is worth the visit. However, the inner part is restored and in my view it is not at the level of the outer part. I felt a bit disappointed when entered inside the building. However an interesting visit from my point of view. By the way, don't expect a big cathedral or similar, this is more like a great church I would say

St John's Church, it was built in 1881, It was severely damaged in WW II, but was restored, from outside its very beautiful.
