Rooms do not lock if they have alarms on as they're fire doors so valuables are vunerable which are on every floor. Rooms very run down and the beds our group had we're slightly broken and had received repair the slates myself. The carpets in the hotel we're bleached and could do with replacing. The saving grace of this hotel is the good breakfast, the staff are very nice and it's in a great location.

In my opinion it was not great. Where do I start... Drilling and hammering to make your ears ring at the crack of dawn so couldn't sleep, issues with the TV which we payed for until one of the staff fixed it, couldn't get it on the other nights though. The house keeping would let let themselves in at 9:30, then would keep knocking and not even clean up in the end! Bare wires in by the bed- a hazard for young children. The lift was so slow and didn't come either. Everything is also quite outdated in my view! The shower was a struggle too- too hot and too cold with no I'm between. The only good thing is Handy location, nice staff and gorgeous view of the city.

Location was nice, 2 mins walk to the tram stop. Extremely central. Price is also pretty good for the area but with that, comes a trade-off (rude staff, rundown hotel)

The staff at this hotel are quite rude, if not apathetic all together. During check in, the receptionist was out smoking her cigarette. Being forced to put it out and come in made all the difference in her attitude. Her tone was aggressive as she handed us the keys, no explanation or information about breakfast or check out.

During the night, we asked for cutlery. we were told that they only had one set (obvious lie) and that we should wash it when we are done. It was extremely uncomfortable and very awkward.

Also, be prepared to be woken up in the early hours of the morning. The walls are so thin, you can hear everything. The hotel needs a bit of an upgrade.

I am confused, the hotel looks old and unfurnished. The furniture in my room was in poor state and the drawer was very dusty, not sure if the rooms get thorough cleaning. But there are also many good parts : The staff is friendly and greets you with a smile, the mattress+pillow were comfy and the sheets squeeky clean. The bathroom was also nice, clean and with hot water right away. Finally, the price was super decent near Heinrich Heine Allee U. Good value for money!

Why was it poor? Well
First of all, I’ll just start with the entrance of this hotel. Marble flooring, modern interior, friendly welcome. Then they assigned us to our room.
Now walking to our room was a bit odd as literally the hallways looked older than the lobby and hadn’t been updated. Not too bothered about that though as that wasn’t the basis of our stay.
We got to our room and this is where we were disappointed.
We had 2 single beds for us both as a couple which wasn’t the best, the room itself wasn’t decorated very nicely and it just felt run down. The way you turn the tv on at this point was baffling as it only had one plug socket. We weren’t very happy with this so we went back downstairs to reception to request some help.
The lady was very hesitant in helping us with the tv (this was essential as my partner needs background noise to sleep) as she was the only person working in the hotel apparently. We asked if they had any other rooms to provide us with as a double bed could compensate the tv not functioning. This was a no go so we simply asked if she would kindly help with the tv and the beds. She just left the desk and went to our room without letting us know what she was doing and had left for about 15 minutes. When she arrived back at reception, her response to the tv was, ‘you have to plug it in on the other side of the doorway for the tv to work’ .... this meant we had to walk under the wire plugged into the tv to get to the bathroom... and we also just had to deal with beds ourselves and push them together.
At this point it was 9:30pm and I didn’t want to waste any more of my holiday trying to make this hotel any better than what I thought it might be. So we just went back upstairs, sorted the beds and tv out (put the wire over the doorway) and quickly got on with our night.
The location of this hotel is brilliant! Bars so close and restaurants etc.
The NEXT DAY the ‘tech’ guy came to come and hand us an extension lead for the tv whilst we were getting ready to leave to check out of the hotel. This was around 11am.
I’m just so disappointed because nothing was organised or properly working to a good standard and I just think if you’re going to stay here, literally expect worse than what you see on the pictures. Location u003d fab. But everything else just a let down.

Very convenient location but everything else is a nightware.

Tiny room, noisy environnement, below average breakfast, no maintenance has been done for at least 10 years, no air con or even a fan. I stayed there in June and with the heat, I could not sleep.

Avoid it if you can.

Rooms do not have any air conditioning (it was 35 degrees outside).
Old and outdated furniture which are heavily used.
Bed felt like I was sleeping on a wooden board without a matres.

However, the bathroom looked ok. The only positive thing I could think of, sadly...
